Eczema

Eczema or atopic dermatitis is a common skin condition that can persist into adulthood. Children typically get dry, itch patches in skin creases and more generally. It is often associated with allergies, asthma and hay fever. Patients with atopic dermatitis need good skin care routines including moisturizers, steroid and nonsteroid prescription creams and antihistamines to control itching. Topical and oral antibiotics are often used to treat secondary bacterial infections.
